The seventeenth century is called in Spain the Golden Age. The “ Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico” was a focus that radiated culture and wisdom in abundance. Viceroy Sebastián de Toledo celebrated frequent and lavish gatherings attended by theologians, philosophers, mathematicians, historians and all kinds of humanists. The viceroy called her to court to serve as the lady-in-waiting of his wife, the marquise Leonor.
